Glød aims to be a unifying arena across all ages and walks of life. Art should light up the winter darkness and create memories. For young and old. The works leave their mark on their surroundings. They bring us together. They make us experience. Feel. See our city in a new way. Glød will stimulate the creation of lasting value for the region. In addition to renting or buying light art, we will collaborate with organisations, institutions, students, artists, lighting designers, architects and creators from all over Rogaland. Glød will create energy in a dark season.

About the artists during Glød light festival

Artists Paul Vendel (1964) and Sandra de Wolf (1966) met while studying at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and have worked together ever since. Their work, which mainly consists of installations, is often located in (semi) public spaces and is usually made specifically for the space in question. The artists prefer to use recognisable and existing objects or materials. For Vendel and De Wolf, their work does not have to be immediately recognisable as art; they strive to appeal to a broad audience.
