Gladmat is Norway's largest food-related public festival. The Gladmat festival is one of the country's largest cultural events and one of the Stavanger region's strongest brands. Around 250,000 people visit Gladmat every year, and there are around 150 exhibitors representing producers, processors and the catering industry.

Gladmat brings together professionals in food production, food processing and food communication. The festival is a public event and a professional meeting place, with a broad programme for foodies, families with children, festival enthusiasts, producers, professionals and restaurants.

Gladmat is a non-profit limited company established in 1998, and owned by public and private organisations. Rogaland County Council is the largest owner with 12.5 per cent. The City of Stavanger owns 8 per cent of the company, and the other shareholders, private and public, own smaller shares. The company does not distribute dividends to shareholders. In the event of any profit, this will be allocated in its entirety to the continued operation of the festival.
