Island life and swimming goes hand in hand, at least in the summer. On this gem in the ocean gap, you can actually swim where you want, but there are some swimming areas that are more suitable and especially well facilitated for swimming.
Around Kvitsøy you can swim almost everywhere, but there are two areas that are particularly suitable and regulated as recreation areas. In Sandrenna by the ferry quay, you will find a sandy beach, a floating jetty and a shelter. At Grøningen, just before the Lobster Museum, the lawn has been prepared and a barbecue hut with tables and benches has been set up. There are toilets available in the summer season in both Sandrenna and Grøningstraen.
